I just hate it when I get to the bank and the safety deposit box reads: “items deposited at owner’s risk”. What a cheap way to get off the hook!
I cannot go in with my valuables and ensure they are safe because of your security policies, yet I keep them with you and you say you cannot completely guarantee I will return to meet everything in perfect order. I think banks in particular and other companies in general can do better, much better than that.. We ought to be fully able to guarantee our customers that we got their back and that we got them covered regardless of the cost to us.
This is a key aspect of branding.
We need to realise that branding goes beyond just designing a breath-taking logo and picking cool words. You have to be ready to deliver upon the promises you peddle around, regardless of what the cost is to you.

After years of procrastination and dulling myself, we finally acquired a bulk SMS website early this year, flordsms.com
We worked hard and started turning things around on the website. However, there was a major issue which personally bugged me about the website. The issue I had was that while I was ready to take the risks for our customers, try to guarantee that all messages sent through our bulk SMS website was going to get delivered. Our gateway partner on the other hand didn’t share such values. He believes that bulk SMS services should be at sender’s risk, and so, whenever our SMS gateway went offline and SMS credits got wasted, he expects our customers to simply go and try again.
That felt like nonsense to me, and so at our own end, we ensured we refunded SMS units to customers who had delivery issues with their messages.
Its like Whatsapp failing to deliver my messages and then tell me “Hey guys, its a free app! We try to deliver your messages when we can else, just try again. It is free, right?” This thing is a matter of brand integrity. I strongly believe that I, my team and the company is headed for bigger things and if we cannot run a simple bulk SMS website for a few years with our integrity unstained, how will people trust us enough when we introduce new products and services?
The reason Dangote Group can introduce Dangote Computers and start selling laptops tomorrow is because of the brand the company has developed behind the Dangote name over the years. That is the power a brand can have, but we can easily lose track of such heights when we fail to act responsibly and do the needful.
About 2 months ago, I made my decision and we started working on a new bulk SMS website that could better deliver on our promises to our customers. We secured new partnerships and a new gateway that guarantees 99.9% delivery as opposed to flordsms.com’s 80% delivery rates.
I am thrilled as we begin to market our bulk SMS solutions to companies, businesses, churches, schools and other organisations under our new brand: ZabarSMS.com
…and everything is sent at Omnific Works’ risk.
