Not every business needs to be designed to be a multinational conglomerate like Google, Dangote Group and the likes. Some businesses can be designed to be a local business, serving the needs of a specific town or (small) city.
A lot of businesses like these are out there, you interact with them everyday. They sell you food, they produce pure water sachet, offer the kids after school classes, drive you around town and sell you groceries. A small business operation is so trivial that anybody can run it.
Running a small business operation is something more people should look into because it is a great way to create an extra stream of income. And having multiple streams of income is usually a good idea.
So, no matter how awesome your main job is, whether you are self-employed or gainfully employed; look at how you could create a local business. No matter how busy your schedule seems, you can squeeze in a local business. You are NOT running it by yourself, all you have to do is to employ people to do the work. Your role is to set it up and steer the business in the direction you want it to go.
