For the Entrepreneur who has a lot of diverse interest in a dozen things, the better advice is not to switch off his mind and drill down on only one idea. The better advice is to give it a try, build minimum viable products for each idea and try them out!
Let a thousand flowers blossom.
When they start blooming, we can now start the task of picking the biggest ones amongst them and scaling those ones up into real companies and killing off ideas that are not so promising. It is amazing how much you can learn from working on real life projects and experiments, we ought to ship out projects more often.
I think my own personal trademark has been the fact that I never work on one thing at a time, I am always up to something and these should not stop. I ought to do more and more of it; the more I do, the more opportunities I explore and the more insights I add to my database. These days, I can offer amazing insights to people on a very wide range of issues from social media, commerce, real estate, mobile payments, marketing, cloud technologies, blogging, SEO, analytics, e-learning, digital media and of course product/company naming and branding. (After coming up with names for over 100 ideas and counting… good names will just start coming to you naturally)
Let a thousand flowers blossom initially and then trim it down over time. You are never sure of what will bring you into the limelight.
