The first step to solving any problem is to understand it. Funny how many of us skip this very first step.
How on earth do you really expect to solve a problem you do not understand? Are you counting on blind luck and the likes? Or perhaps you are one of those who experience “unexplainable flashes of ideas”? (Good luck with that)
Everyone is trying to act quickly, and too often they run out to solve a problem without fully understanding what problem they are trying to solve. This then actually slows things down in the long run.
For the rest of us, taking the time to really understand what exactly is the problem always pays off. Once a problem is properly understood, creating a solution that works is usually a simple thing.
The only reason it looks complex right now, is because it has not yet been understood.
