Being creative often requires ignoring standard specifications of how something should look or work.
We have to define the goal, what we really want to get done and then try to see if we can come up with something that will get it done in a more efficient manner. The goal is not to discard standards for discarding sake as many “creative” people seem to think. The goal is to be more awesome by delivering better results!
We ought to focus on what needs to be done right now, today. And not on what the standards are, and then design a solution specifically for that.
