It is never about the tools
The tools you employ are never going to secure you a victory automatically.
The man with the bigger gun does not necessarily win every fight.
It is one thing to have a weapon of massive destruction, it is another thing to know how to use it most effectively.
This is why you should top thinking about out spending your competition, OUT THINK them instead.
It does not matter whether they have 100, 000 customers and $250 billion already, you can out think them, create a better strategy and still crush them.
Afterall, Twitter already had over 200 million users before Instagram even launched. Yet, see how things have played out?
The key is this:
Look for how you can creatively leverage the strength of others to boost your own agenda.
How can you partner established players in the field that can help you get your product in front of their own audience in a win-win manner?
That is how Bill Gates became the richest man alive, he leveraged IBM’s resources and influence to secure a partnership that made him rich… when IBM could have easily crushed Microsoft by buying the small company at that time.
This also illustrates that confidence is key, an innovator must be ready to go all out and brave the odds.
So, do you have a goal of getting your products into the hands of millions of people this year?
“What strategy do you need?” is a better question than “How much money do you need?”
Go figure!
