Connect Information seekers with Information

Everyone out there is looking for information, you can create a medium (a blog, an email list, a twitter account) to provide that type of information. You will have to look for a niche; a specific subject you would love to provide information about, it could be about anything! Latest job vacancies, How to write CVs, JAMB past questions, POST-UTME tips and information, How to cook various dishes, anything! The things to watch out for is that whatever niche you are choosing should be something you are really interested in, and passionate about. Back in the days, when I was still young and stupid I created a blog on Jewelery. I know NOTHING about jewelery, I had picked it because an “expert” told me I would get higher value ads for a jewelery blog. But since I knew nothing about Jewelery meant that I couldnt consistently write content for the blog and the blog died a natural death. You should avoid picking niches that are too broad, broad topics are more likely to be more competitive to operate in. Then, also whatever niche you are picking should have the potential of attracting a large audience in the long run (I like using 1,000 people as a yardstick). After all, the whole essence of the operation is to provide information for people who find it useful, so if the information you are providing is useful to few people or no one at all, you cannot make any headway.

I should add that this method is also the most popular way a lot of people use to get started to making money online. You create a blog for free or you can invest a little money and get a professional looking blog and start posting information on it, when you get an audience, you can sell products to them or serve them adverts. For example, a blog about Post-UTME tips and updates can easily sell past questions to its loyal readers.

To get started right away, head over to either blogger.com or wordpress.com and create a blog. if you need more proof that this things works, check out lindaikeji.blogspot.com – She provides gossip about Nigerian celebrities and makes a lot of money from adverts.

Another reason to create a blog would be inorder to build a solid reputation online, a good one that will hold-up to scrutiny. The reason people are responding to The Morebise Post is due to the reputation I have built over the years.

To your massive success,
M.
