Imitation sucks

Imitation is when we copy something without any regard for our own peculiarity. Imitating people or products or ideas always leads to things that are crappy. No matter how hard you try, you cannot really execute an idea you do not own because you just would not understand it enough to actually improve upon it.

We cannot just look up companies and products that are successful and press Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V and smile to the banks.

The other side of the coin is that many people do have original ideas but in the process of idea development, they lose their ideas and end up imitating seemingly related ideas out there. For example, if I get an idea about anything social, next thing is that I will start thinking inside Facebook or Instagram’s boxes.

Why do all smartphones look and feel the same way? Exactly. That is my point.

What makes you, YOU?

What can you offer the world that nobody else can?

What is your selling point?
